Here's how my squiggly journey led me from early-stage startups to becoming a product designer.

MY STORY

My path into product design began in the startup world, where I learnt firsthand how crucial user experience is to business success.
As the first employee at Patch Plants, I worked directly with the founder to build the company's first physical and digital prototypes, eventually becoming Business Lead after growing through operations, merchandising, and sales roles.
This entrepreneurial foundation taught me how to actively listen to customers in order to solve the right problem by applying design thinking methodology.

My entrepreneurial mindset continued to develop as I founded my second business, Mix & Rise, an online plant-based baking kit business. We hit over 1,000 sales, giving me further insight into creating a remarkable end-to-end customer experience.
I then joined Antler VC where I worked on Remi with a co-founder. Remi's concept was an investment platform that was intuitively designed to address the gender investment gap. Despite not securing the £100,000 investment, a passion for product design was truly unleashed and I realised this was my calling.

I up-skilled myself by a learn-by-designing on Figma UX/UI Bootcamp (Memorisely) and started my first product design role at the B2B SaaS and Services Company BrightLocal.
After 8 months I became the product designer for two agile squads, working closely with a product manager and lead engineer to deliver high-impacting projects which I outline in my portfolio projects.
After two years at BrightLocal, there were challenges to be solved closer to home in London, and in November 2026, i became the sole product designer at the email marketing company EmailOctopus. Over the past three months I've redesigned the platform with our new brand from typography to components and rebuild our design system in the process.
Over the past three months, I’ve redesigned the product to align with our new brand - reworking typography, upgrading components, and rebuilding the design system end-to-end.
